First “Stammtisch”

The first edition of the Stammtisch of the elite graduate programme took place on 03.03.2023. Eighteen students from Erlangen and Regensburg met for this purpose in Erlangen. There, Mr. Hommelhoff invited them to his chair. He gave a lecture on “Strong-field physics in graphene”, which is currently being researched there, and his talk was accompanied by a lively discussion. This was followed by a guided tour through three laboratories, where, among other interesting things, the experimental setups just discussed could be
discovered and discussed in greater detail.

Afterwards, the evening was rounded off with a joint dinner. We would like to cordially thank Mr. Hommelhoff and the members of his chair for the kind invitation and the fascinating insights into their research!
